“To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.” – S. Prefontaine
Charlie lives his life by Prefontaine’s sage advice, and believes Steve was the original #sender. A senior at the University of Florida, Charlie majors in English and The Art of the #Send while minoring in Mass Communications. A dedicated runner through middle and high school (2014 4A FHSAA XC Team State Champions) with a few tris thrown in the mix, Charlie switched to triathlon full-time when he started college.
For his last year of collegiate triathlon, Charlie realized he wanted to go big. He joined Nor’Easter Triathlon and has been mashing watts and throwing down some of the fastest OTB run splits in Florida since. Coming off a strong fall season, Charlie is looking towards spring and USAT Collegiate Nationals with big goals in mind.
Charlie works as a bike mechanic, lifeguard, and copywriter (different from copyrighting) while studying and training. He downs coffee like water and would rather be outdoors than anywhere else. If you ever can’t find him, look for the nearest dog and there’s a pretty good chance he’s there.
