2016 Aquathlon Nationals Runner Up
Multi-sport and triathlon has become a recent endeavor for myself, but I’m an endurance athlete through and through. I started off as a swimmer from a young age, and coached throughout my time on recreational and competitive swim teams. This is where my love for coaching and community started and has continued through to today. I teach swimmers from the recreational through High School levels and have taught hundreds of kids how to swim. I swam collegiately for Sierra College where I was the Captain and gained my first All-American Distinction swimming the 1650 in 18:48.
Not wanting to give up my life of sending following my swimming career, I picked up triathlon as well as continued to coach swimming and now coach strength and conditioning. In 2016 I was the Aquathlon Nationals runner-up and was 3rd in my age group for the Spartan Sprint World Championships.
Currently I am focusing on sending Sprint and Olympic Distance Triathlons while remaining an active community volunteer through local recreational swim groups and through Big Blue Adventure. Outside of triathlon, I love the outdoors, hiking, paddle boarding, cacti and plants, and of course pitbulls.
